Thessaloniki's new Airport - SKG


Project Title: "Upgrade and expansion of Thessaloniki's Airport - SKG"

The Thessaloniki's Airport "Macedonia" upgrade project included:
- - Construction of new 34,100 m2 terminal building as an extension to existing facilities
- - Renovation of existing terminal
- - 45% increase in check-in counters (from 30 to 44)
- - 115% increase in security checkpoints (from 6 to 14)
- - Installation of modern baggage handling system (BHS)
- - 50% increase in departure gates (from 16 to 24)
- - 75% increase in baggage claim belts (from 4 to 7)
- - Expansion of wastewater treatment plant and connection to municipal network
- - Construction of new fire station
- - Construction of two new access control buildings in aircraft operations area
- - Runway/taxiway pavement rehabilitation
- - Reconfiguration of aircraft parking areas - APRON


Central Macedonia Prefectural Authority Building

Project Title: "Construction of Thessaloniki's new prefectural authority building"

The new Central Macedonia prefectural authority building is being constructed on 26th October Street (FIX area), on a 10,209 m2 plot with total built area of 24,503 m2. The complex includes:

One of Greece's most modern, aesthetically pleasing and functional school buildings. Dubbed by media as "the first green school". The complex includes:

Crude Oil Tank Construction at Hellenic Petroleum

Construction of TK-862 tank and pipelines at Thessaloniki refineries (ELPE)
Client: HELLENIC PETROLEUM
Budget: €2,000,000
Contractor: ATHENA S.A.
The TK-862 tank has 30,000 m3 capacity for crude oil storage. Connection pipelines to existing refinery facilities consisted of steel pipes up to 20" diameter with total weld length exceeding 15,000 inches.
